We spoke with Murat Kizir, General Manager of MK Havuz, about the company’s production philosophy, approach to technology, and long-term vision.

In the pool industry, a manufacturer’s identity is shaped not only by technical expertise, but also by hands-on field experience, years of service know-how, and the ability to accurately interpret sectoral needs. Founded in 1995 with a focus on service and maintenance, MK Havuz has evolved into a strong manufacturing brand distinguished by its innovative and technological products. With a product portfolio centered on energy efficiency, automation, prefabricated pool solutions, and domestic manufacturing, MK Havuz continues to contribute to the industry’s transformation. We spoke with Murat Kizir, General Manager of MK Havuz, about the company’s production philosophy, approach to technology, and long-term vision.

MK Havuz’s journey in the sector began in 1995 with service and maintenance operations. Over time, the company expanded into pool piping and construction contracting, strengthening its manufacturer identity by transferring on-site experience directly into production. Murat Kizir describes this process by stating, “Closely observing the problems encountered in the field has formed the foundation of the products we manufacture today.”

Initially focusing on the import of prefabricated pool systems and disinfection products, Kizir emphasizes that the decision to move into manufacturing became inevitable, particularly in product groups where technical problems were frequently experienced. Today, MK Havuz stands out as a manufacturer developing innovative and technologically advanced products, supported by significant investments in molds and production infrastructure.

According to Murat Kizir, the development of new products is driven primarily by identifying gaps within the sector. Design, technical performance, and ease of installation are evaluated together throughout the development process. Long service life, minimal maintenance requirements, and compliance with standards are among the key criteria. Kizir summarizes this approach by saying, “According to our production philosophy, the manufacturing of a quality product begins with its design and continues through a production process that fully complies with standards.”

Emphasizing that energy efficiency and ease of use are central to their technological approach, Kizir notes that automation and remote monitoring systems will play an increasingly important role in the pool industry. He explains that touch-screen control panels planned for release in mid-2026 will enable safer operation of pool pumps, while simplifying control processes and allowing lighting systems to be managed easily from a single panel. In the same period, the production of energy-efficient variable-speed pumps is also planned.

Highlighting that prefabricated pool solutions have significantly altered the dynamics of the sector, Murat Kizir points out that these systems stand out due to their advantages in speed, cost, insulation, and aesthetics. Compared to reinforced concrete structures, prefabricated pools offer more economical and sustainable solutions and are expected to become even more widespread in the coming years.

Underlining that water and energy efficiency have become critical issues in pool projects, Kizir states that R&D efforts continue on filtration systems, energy-saving pumps, and new products designed to reduce water consumption. He draws attention to the industry’s future by stating, “The future of the pool industry will be shaped by energy efficiency, automation, and remote monitoring systems.”

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, Murat Kizir explains that MK Havuz aims to strengthen its position in the market with patented filters, slim skimmers, prefabricated pool panels, touch-controlled systems, and competitively priced pumps. He adds that the company’s long-term vision is built on aesthetics, ease of use, long service life, and a sustainable production approach.
