In this interview, Betsan General Manager Fatih Rıdvan Kaya shares insights into the company’s product development approach, next-generation technologies, and global growth strategy in response to evolving expectations in pool and wellness projects.

According to Kaya, today’s users are moving away from standardized pool designs and increasingly seeking unique, nature-inspired spaces that offer a holistic experience. In response to this shift, Betsan utilizes digital inkjet printing technology to recreate the appearance of natural stone, concrete, and organic surface textures on glass mosaic products. Combined with the inherent technical advantages of glass mosaic—such as 0% water absorption, UV resistance, color stability, and superior chemical resistance—these aesthetic qualities deliver long-lasting performance in demanding aquatic environments.

One of the company’s standout innovations is BLUSH Technology, which enables designers to maintain a consistent surface character across different geometric formats. By offering the same visual language in patterns such as Hexa, Herringbone, and Round, BLUSH provides architects and designers with greater creative flexibility while preserving design continuity throughout a project. Its sophisticated combination of matte and glossy layers interacts dynamically with natural and artificial light, creating depth, movement, and a refined visual experience.

Another significant innovation developed by Betsan is the SilyCord® System. Designed to overcome adhesion challenges associated with traditional mesh-backed mosaics, this polyurethane-based technology maximizes adhesive contact with the substrate, enhancing installation reliability, mechanical bonding performance, and long-term durability. Kaya emphasizes that true design extends beyond the visible surface, incorporating the technologies that ensure superior performance throughout the product’s lifecycle.

At the heart of Betsan’s growth strategy lies its new manufacturing facility in Kırklareli. Recognized as Turkey’s largest glass mosaic production facility and among the top three largest in Europe, the plant features robotic systems, high-resolution quality control technologies, and fully automated production lines. Beyond increasing capacity, this investment significantly strengthens quality standardization, energy efficiency, and export competitiveness, positioning Betsan for sustained international growth.

Sustainability also remains a key pillar of the company’s vision. Betsan manufactures all of its products using 100% recycled glass and is currently investing in solar energy projects to support its transition toward self-generated renewable energy. By the end of 2026, the company aims to operate with its own energy production infrastructure, enabling it to process recycled glass using clean energy and further enhance the environmental value of its products.
